Connect AI assistants (MCP)

Perfect Memory can plug into the AI assistants you already use — Claude, ChatGPT, Codex, Cursor, or any client that speaks MCP (the Model Context Protocol). Once connected, you can ask your assistant questions like “what was that error I saw in Visual Studio yesterday?” or “summarize my meeting with Acme last week” and it will answer from your own screen history and meetings.

How it works

Your assistant never touches your data directly. It asks Perfect Memory's cloud, which relays the request to the Perfect Memory app running on your PC. The search happens locally, and only the answer travels back.

The answer flows back along the same path — your raw screen data and transcripts stay on your PC.

Private by design. The cloud only forwards requests and answers — it never stores your screenshots, OCR text, or transcripts. Searches run on your own machine. When you connect an assistant you choose what it can read — screen history, meetings, or both — and you can disconnect it at any time from your account page.

What your assistant can do

Six tools are available to connected assistants. The first three need access to your screen history, the last three to your meetings:

Search screen history — finds moments from everything you've seen on your PC (apps, documents, web pages, messages), with the app, window title, timestamp, and a text snippet.
Get moment — fetches the full on-screen text of a single moment found by a search, for exact numbers, quotes, or error messages.
Browse timeline — lists your activity over a time range in chronological order, for questions like "what did I work on this morning?".
Search meetings — finds your recorded meetings and returns the AI summary, key updates, action items, attendees, platform, and duration.
Get meeting — fetches one meeting in full: summary, key updates, action items and your own summary tabs.
Read transcript — reads a meeting's transcript, a page at a time, for exact quotes and who said what.

Set it up

Setup takes about a minute. Every assistant uses the same address:

Add it to your assistant, sign in to Perfect Memory when it asks, choose what to share, and turn on the MCP server in the app. There is no token to copy. Pick your assistant:

Other MCP clients

Cursor, VS Code and most other MCP clients connect the same way: add https://proxy.perfectmemory.ai/api/mcp as a remote (HTTP) MCP server and sign in when asked.

Set up before sign-in existed, with a connector URL ending in /u/…? It keeps working. To move to the new way, remove it from your assistant, add the address above, and revoke the old token on your account page.
